DNA: The Easy Way

Believe it or not, the process of completing a DNA test is not very difficult.  First of all, human cells must be collected.  The cells can be collected from a person's cheek using a swab.  The next step is to send this cell sample to a laboratory, where scientists extract the DNA from the swab and create many samples from it.  Then the samples are put into a gel mixture, and are subjected to an electric current.  A DNA probe can then be used, which attaches itself to the sample.  Each person produces a unique location of DNA attachment, and this is how the identification works.  Ultimately, scientists develop the film of this unique DNA strand.  This type of DNA test becomes more reliable as more probes are used to test the strand.  DNA testing has become very popular, so it is now available on the Internet.  Ordinary people can now order in-home DNA tests and get their results in just a few days.

Answer the following questions:
1) What is the topic sentence of this paragraph?
2) How many steps make up the process of DNA testing? Which are they?
3) Write two transitional expressions that show a time relationship.
4) What surprising information is given in the last two sentences of the paragraph?

Samsung Galaxy S2 Vs Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus Prime

Samsung Galaxy S2 Vs Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus Prime
Samsung has two new technological creations, two awesome features the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Nexus I950. So, we decided to compare the two classy rivals belonging to the same brand on the basis of the various parameters such as operating system, memory and camera. The S2 runs on the Android platform available in the market, the study v2.3(Gingerbread) and has a Dual-core with clock speed 1.2 GHz. Also the S2 is famous for its capacious internal memory of 16GB/32GB and 1GB RAM, and it supports a micro-SD up to 32GB. The S2 boasts of an 8MP primary camera. On the other hand, the new arrival, Nexus, has been finished with the next version of Android, v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and it possesses a dual core of clock speed 1.5GHz. The internal storage of the Nexus does not possess a card slot. The Nexus has settled for a simpler camera of 5Mp.Both phones have their advantages and their 'disadvantages' in some parameters, however, it can definitely ensured that are situated between  the best achievements in the world of the new mobiles released.

Comparison of Bmw and Mercedes Benz

The most popular car of this century are the Mercedes Benz and the BMW. Specificly we are talking about BMW M 2-door Coupe 3.2L and 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK 430 2- door Coupe 4.3L. Comparing these two a class cars we can find many similarities. Firstly Bmw specificly model has 2 doors to specify the aerodynamics in order to improve the efficiency . The Mercedes model can be found in the market  2-door and 4-door as well but the 2-door model is recommended and it is famous for the enormous space and the comfort that provides. Another similar propertie of those cars is the price. They both can be found averegly is the same prices. The M3 can be found €50000 and the CLK can be found  $49, 400, so we have two A CLASS cars in the same price and the same look. Now boys stuff : Both of the cars are "armed" with V8 engines and provides 318 for BMW and 330 for Mercedes. So two cars, two brands, ONE class, three importand similarities . The only thing that stays is the desicion what to buy!! :)

PLAYSTATION 3 VS XBOX 360

Since the gaming consoles have been evolving a huge war has started between the two biggest consoles, Sonys Playstation 3, and Microsofts Xbox 360. The truth is that they are not much different. The technical differences are a lot especially in the CPU part of the console but in general the xbox has a slight advantage. But strangely the playstation 3 is much more popular than the xbox because the previous versions go way back and have much more history and development. They both offer network access and a lot of gigabytes of memory. But in general they are pretty much the same.

Nissan Skyline 2011 GTR Vs Audi R8

Luxury cars are very exciting, but in this category two cars shine above the other, Nissan Skyline 2011 GTR and Audi R8. These cars are almost same but they prevent some differences. Audi R8 is more expensive than Nissan Skyline. The first cost 115 thousand pounds and Skyline costs 84 thousand pounds. In the other hand, Skyline is faster because it produces 485 hp, in constrast with Audi R8, which produces 120 hp. In addition, Skyline has more acceleration than R8, because it can catch the speed of 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, instead of R8 which needs 4.8 seconds. Generally, Nissan Skyline is a  better option for potential buyers than Audi R8, because it is cheaper and faster.

iPhone 4 Vs. Iphone 4S

IPhone 4 and iPhone 4S might look the same but there are some dramatic differences between them. The biggest difference between the models is basically the proccesor where the iPhone 4 has an A4 chip in contrast with the A5 chip on the 4S. Moreover the battery life on the 4S model was increased by 1 hour on talking time, the weight is slightly different where the 4S weights 3 more grams. An other big change on the newer model is the camera as it has an 8 megapixel camera in addition to the 5 megapixel on the older model. Last but not least is the price where the iPhone 4 costs $99 (8 GB model) and the iPhone 4s $199 (16 GB model) with contract. Although the two phones look extremely the same on the exterior, in my opinion the 4S worths its price.

Samsung Galaxy Vibrant Vs Iphone 4S

A matter of considerable controversy which is frequently discussed nowadays is the issue of whether Iphone 4S is better than Samsung Galaxy Vibrant. First of all the most significant characteristic between this two cell phones is the cost. Iphone 4S is more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Vibrant, since the first one is $560 and the other $350. Secondly, the first one, has better resolution on its camera as it has 8 mp, while the second has 5 mp. Another contrast between these two mobile phones is the difference to their capacity. Iphone has big storage capacity since it has 16 GB where you can save a variety of songs, pictures, applications, etc. On the other side of the coin, Samsung has only 2 GB storage capacity where you can save quite a lot of things but not that much. In my opinion, I prefer Iphone 4S due to the fact that it provides you a variety of opportunities despite of its cost.

Blue-Ray Vs DVD

In most ways, Blu-ray is fairly similar to DVD. The players look the same, the discs look the same, and even the disc menus are similar.Blu-ray brings three major improvements over DVD. Firstly blue ray has better image quality than DVD as blue ray disks are read by blue laser,as implied by the name having a bigger wavelength on the other hand DVD is read by a red laser, which has wavelength of 650nm.Secondly better sound quality and more special features as new high-resolution soundtrack formats, such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, are essentially identical to the studio master, so you'll be hearing things exactly as the director and audio engineers intended. All three are made possible by the larger storage capacity of Blu-ray, which is capable of storing 50GB of information on a single Blu-ray Disc, compared with DVDs, which can hold about 8GB.These two discs look identical and actually they are in physical design too. What actually differentiates them is the laser technology but as technology improves we must follow it and prefer Blu-ray rather than the old DVD's.

Mac Book Air Vs Mac Book Pro

When it comes to apple products it is always difficult to find something that's deffective, but here there are some things to consider wheather choosing between Mac Book Air or Mac Book Pro; lightness and design or speed and durability? Mac Book Air is the lightest portable computer ever designed, so it makes it easy to carry it with you wherever you go. It comes with an i5 processor and a large memory for files storage. It has a battery lasting up to 5 hours and it cannot accept cd's and it's price begins at $999. On the other hand, Mac Book Pro is designed to provide for higher performances and although it is quite large, it is still lighter than most portables of its size. It comes with an i7 processor and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6GHz plus 8GHz  speed performances. With a battery lasting 7 hours and a high performance graphics card, it's price varys from $1199 up to $2499. If your budget can stand these prices, it is really worth buying whatever fits you the best.

The iPhone 4S is primarily made of glass and metal and has a comparatively tiny 3.5-inch IPS LCD Retina Display’ with an eye-popping resolution of 640×960. Galileo's experiment

One of the most exciting experiments in history was that of Galileo in which he tried to challenge Aristotle's theory. Galileo had the ambition that two different weights that are dropped down from height will be landed at the same time. He proved this by throwing objects down from Pisa tower and he found that the objects are fell down at the same time.In the end, after a long period of doubt for Galileo's theory, everybody aggreed that he was right and approved the experiment.

In Paris, 1851, Jean-Bernard-Léon Foucault had shown, that the earth revolves on its axis. To reapet that experiment use a long steel wire and suspend an iron ball to create a pendulum, and set it in motion, rocking back and forth.

The pendulum will start to rotate, leaving a slightly different trace with each swing. But the truth is that it is the floor that is slowly moving . On the Southern Hemisphere it would rotate counterclockwise, and on the Equator it wouldn't revolve at all. At the South Pole, as the modern-day scientists confirmed, the period of rotation is 24 hours.

Experiment with Buoyancy

Experiment with Buoyancy

To check the buoyancy we have to check all the elements of the formula.Firstly , water is placed in a bucket. A Wooden piece is sinked in the bucked. We check if the wooden cube flows. After that an ironed cube , same sized as the wooden one is sinked in the same bucket and we see if is flows or note. Sometimes buoyancy changes depending the elements the water contains. To calibrate that , a common cooking salt is sinked and deluded properly with the water. The same objects are sinked in the bucket of salty water the same way as before. After that we notice that the density of the water is changed dramatically by adding salt. So buoyancy depends from the object's and liquid density !

Friction

This experiment is made for describing friction. The idea is that if you put a solid object on a ramp and start to tilt the ramp upward, there is a point where the object will start to slide. That is the angle where the force of gravity is strong enough to overcome the static friction and that will check the friction between object and the ramp.Friction can be calculated when we compare the force of the weight and the resistance that is caused from the friction.

ARCHIMEDES EXPERIMENT

First, the crown is weighed. Then, a lump of gold and of silveris took each weighing the same as the crown. The silver lump is larger because silver is lighter than gold.
Each lump is put in a vessel. The vessels are filled to the rim with water. The larger amount of silver caused more water to overflow than the lump of gold did, although both weighed the same. Archimedes knew then that any solid material will push away an amount of water equal to its own bulkiness, or volume. If the crown are pured gold, it would have to push away, or displace the same amount of water as the lump of pure gold that weighed the same. But the crown is made more water overflow than the lump of gold.

INERTIA

Inertia can always be experienced in a moving car . It is the reason that seatbelts exist, they are desinged to counteract it's effects. If inertia didn't exist we wouldn't need seatbelts in a car.

Static electricity

A can is placed on its side on a flat smooth surface like a table or smooth floor. The blown up baloon is rubed back and forth fast through your hair. The ballon is held close to the can without actually touching it. The can starts to roll towards the ballon without even touching it.
