People look for different things when looking for a job. What I expect from my job is for it to give me the opportunity to discover and learn new things with each passing day. I want to travel a lot, visit new places where technology will teach me stuff, and help me grow my knowledge and be better at what I do. If I do these things alone I don't mind, however i prefer working with people.
In my opinion the first thing you must look for in a job, especially in the engineering field, is how appealing is the job to you. If you don't like what you do, you will never be good at it and you will probably not have career advancement.
